Is Ganguly right about Irfan?

Ganguly wants to make Irfan Pathan an all-rounder. Irfan is for sure a great bowler, no doubt about that. This 19-year old lad has come a long way and getting applauds from greats like Kapil Dev and Wasim Akram. But, is it wise to burdern him with batting so early in his career. Ifran is a bowler first. We need a McGrath for India, and Irfan is definitely showing promise in that. Use him wisely and he will definitely do wonders.

Kapil was right when he said "His focus has to be on bowling. The runs are a bonus. Irfan is India’s key bowler. There should be no pressure on him as a batsman". Even Imran Khan and Wasim Akram were of same opinion. "He’s an all-rounder but a bowling all-rounder", said Akram.
